A successful and full of optimistic messages for the fur feature  , fur fair was held in Athens between the 24th and 27th of March . The fashion shows were represented by the greatest Greek fur manufacturers , highly recognized for their consistent and high quality products around the globe . Amidst the economic crisis the fur exports are one of the exporting pillars of a struggling greek economy . The attendance of opposition party president A. Samaras and of minister of agricultural development ( fur farming in greece has been booming in the last 10 years) and of several members of the parliament  has been indications of the greek authorities will to further support and promote a successful industry with long tradition.

Representatives of the greatest fur skin  auction houses NAFA and SAGA were present . NAFA organised a gala with high fashion furs at the hotel of GRANDE BRITAGNE in the center of Athens with a  ''Belle Epoque'' theme . 

Manufacturers and exhibitors were pleased by the results and number of orders received despite the relative downfall in previous exhibitions held in Hong Kong and Milan .
